Equal split. The simplest approach divides bill plus tip by headcount. Each person pays the same total — fair when everyone consumed similarly.
Uneven shares. Lock fixed amounts for some diners and spread the remainder across the rest. Useful when one person had a much larger meal or skipped alcohol.
Multiple payers. When several people cover the tab, the tool compares what each paid against what they owe and shows who is still out of pocket.
Rounding. Amounts display to two decimal places; tiny remainders from splitting are normal. Set tip to 0% if service is already included in the bill.
