Knowledge

Calendar age is the familiar years–months–days count between two dates, with borrowing when a month has fewer days — the same logic civil calendars use for birthdays.

Total units below the divider show the same span as whole weeks plus leftover days, total days, and cumulative hours, minutes, and seconds. These are useful when you need a single large number rather than a civil date difference.

Time zones. All inputs use your device's local time zone. For legal or official records, enter dates in the zone that governs the document.

FAQs

What is the difference between years, months, days and the totals below?

The top row is calendar age: full years, then months, then days between your origin and end date and time (with borrowing, like a civil date difference). Below the divider you see whole-unit totals — weeks plus leftover days, total days, and cumulative hours, minutes, and seconds across the full span.

How do I use “Use current time”?

On End time, turn on Use current time to set the end date and clock to now and keep them updating every second. Turn it off to pick a fixed end date and time manually.

Can I drag on the results to change the end date?

Yes, when Use current time is off. Drag left or right on The Age results to move the end date and time; it stays between your origin and today.

Why do I see an error about the end date?

The end moment must be the same as or after the origin (date and time). If the end is earlier, fix the dates or times and the age will calculate again.

Which time zone is used?

All dates and times use your device’s local time zone. Enter origin and end in the same zone you care about — usually where you were or are now.

Is my data stored or sent to a server?

No. Everything runs in your browser. Dates and results are not uploaded or saved on a server.
